Angela Monetathchi

Comanche

Angela Monetathchi is from Palm Springs, CA, and a member of the Comanche Nation. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Chapman University in 2014 and later returned to the University of Arizona in 2017 to complete the prerequisite courses necessary for medical school. She is a recent alumnus of the Pre-Medical Admissions Pathway program at the University of Arizona Graduate College and completed coursework through the University of Arizona College of Medicine’s Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine during the 2021-2022 academic year.

During the summer of her first year of medical school, she participated in the Rural Health Professions Program at the College of Medicine-Tucson, where she shadowed in family medicine in Whiteriver on the Fort Apache Reservation. Currently, she is a third-year medical student with an interest in transplant nephrology.
