Alison Watson

Diné

Alison Watson is Diné from Chinle, Arizona on the Navajo Nation. She currently resides on Tohono O’odham and Pascua Yaqui homelands as a doctoral student studying Environmental Health Sciences at the University of Arizona (UArizona) Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health (MEZCOPH). She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Science in Medical Microbiology and Immunology from UArizona. Her research interests include Indigenous health, environmental justice and microbiology. With her education and expertise, she hopes to provide guidance and assistance to environmental injustice issues and prevent environmental exposures impacting Indigenous peoples and communities.
